The ceramic sphere that I was showing in ‘Sculpture In Context’ taking place at the Botanic Gardens, Glasnevin, Dublin 9, Dublin, Rep. of Ireland had sold. I created this sculpture to illustrate the Tolka River flowing from West Dublin, passed the Botanic Gardens and into Dublin Bay. Although I wanted to explore the mathematics behind how rivers meander through landscapes, I created Tolka River for especially for ‘Sculpture In Context’.
I need to tell you that the Mill Cove Gallery has moved from Castletownbere, Co. Cark to 21 Main Street, Kenmare, Co. Kerry.
I am exhibiting a hollow ceramic sphere called Talka River (d: 10 cm / 25 cm) in Sculpture in Context 2021 held in the Botanic Gardens, Glasnevin, Dublin 9 from 2nd Sept – 15th Oct 2021. The piece of artwork is on display indoors in the gallery so one would need to book a half-hour time slot on Evenbrite to see it in the flesh.
